Cotton open hard waste is one of the byproducts of ring spun yarn. It is converted into raw cotton that is ready for use after a few stages of manufacture.

The first carding machine produced cotton flat, a byproduct of the yarn spinning industry. The fibre contains more trash than comber Noil. In OE spinning, it is generally combined with high-quality cotton.
